What's with the Kangaroo leather?

You might have wondered why at Requiem Trend we insist on using Kangroo leather binding to pull together our unique aluminium bags? Well, apart from looking fabulous in all different colours and finishes, 'Roo' leather as we call it, is actually really bloody tough and sustainable!

Kangaroo hides are actually the strongest leather hides used in the garment industry, they are so tough that they are the leather of choice for sporting gear. From motorbike riding overalls to cricket balls - just think about how strong a cricket ball has to be.

Kangaroos are also a sustainable choice when it comes to leather as they are native to Australia and have paws rather than hooves. This means they don't damage the delicate topsoil in the Australian outback that cows, goats and other  animals with hooves do. Plus their food occurs in the environment without need for farming.

All in all, why would you use anything but kangaroo leather!
